Ship of the Desert

Camel, majestic and grand

ship of the desert,

beast of burden goes over the sand

where man-made machines are no match.

Unquestioning, drinking its fill of water,

so it may carry man to parts where

he would surely perish.

Temper so bad,

and smell to match

the camel will spit at you

at the drop of a hat.

Some may scorn,

but all must respect

a beast of burden - a ship

of the desert.
